Stay with us. We’ll break into small randomized groups for about 10 minutes. Then the groups will be juggled for another 10 minute period. Stay as long as you like to meet newcomers, and people that you might not otherwise have met … check-in on one another’s well-being … and reflect on the theme of today’s service.

Our BUF Covenant

Love is the spirit of this fellowship, and service gives it life.
Celebrating our diversity, and joined by a quest for truth,
we work for peace, and honor all creation. This is our covenant.

Be Thou My Vision

Be thou my vision, O God of my heart;
naught be all else to me, save that thou art.
Thou my best thought, by day or by night,
waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true word;
I ever with thee and thou with me God;
thou my soul’s shelter, thou my high tower,
raise thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor world’s empty praise,
thou my inheritance, now and always;
thou and thou only, first in my heart,
Sov’reign of heaven, my treasure thou art.

For the Beauty of the Earth

For the beauty of the earth, for the splendor of the skies,
for the love which from our birth over and around us lies:
Source of all, to thee we raise this, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of ear and eye, for the heart and mind’s delight,
for the mystic harmony linking sense to sound and sight:
Source of all, to thee we raise this, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the wonder of each hour of the day and of the night,
hill and vale and tree and flower, sun and moon and stars of light:
Source of all, to thee we raise this, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of human care, sister, brother, parent, child,
for the kinship we all share, for all gentle thoughts and mild:
Source of all, to thee we raise this, our hymn of grateful praise.

April 4 Easter – We Rise Again – A Sunday of powerful music and a message of hope. And, continuing our gradual re-entry into the sanctuary, we’ll have a (properly masked, distanced, and fully immunized) live ensemble!

Have you submitted your pledge for the upcoming fiscal year? If not, you are not alone. We are aware that many of you have not yet received your mailed pledge package. And to top it off, we inadvertently made it harder for you to pledge this year. YIKES!
I will be sending out emails to each BUF home with a way of sending in your pledge by simply replying to that email. Look for this email to arrive over this weekend. To help move things along, we would like to receive your pledge by Easter, April 4th.
We need YOUR help now. Then, I can get back to counting as you know I love to do! The BUF stewardship team and all of us in the BUF community are counting on you! Blah! I mean Cheers,
Vlad D Improver (aka Rick Steele)

BUF-SEJC Collection Recipient in March: Growing Veterans

Their Vision: End isolation that leads to veteran suicide. They started an agricultural project that involves the veterans’ participation, thereby enabling the military veterans to build (“grow”) community, grow food and support each other.

Monthly Taizé Service 7:00 pm on Monday, April 5th. Taizé services originated in the monastic community in Taizé, France in the 1940s. At BUF, we have created our own UU-style Taizé service that draws from one of our sources — direct experience of that transcending mystery and wonder. With Rev. Tessie Mandeville and Pianist Andrea Rackl.
