There will be a Special Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 15 at 1:00 pm, via Zoom.
Meeting ID: 738 363 620
Meeting passcode: BUF
You can also phone in, for audio only, at (346) 248-7799
(use the same Meeting ID: 738 363 620; numeric Password: 306220).
We announced last May at the Annual Meeting that we might have to hold a Special Meeting in the Fall to present a revised budget. The budget passed in May assumed that BUF would fully re-open in January. Since this will not happen, we will not generate anticipated revenue from rentals and Mayfaire. Sky Hedman, BUF treasurer, will present a revised 2020-21 budget.
Following that, the COVID task force will present a brief report. The task force has been developing policy and a framework within which we can consider re-opening as Whatcom County moves through phases 2, 3, and 4.
Finally, the 8th Principle resolution will be presented by members of the 8th Principle Team.
We will be voting on the revised budget and on the 8th Principle resolution. Voting will be done by means of an on-line ballot. Ballots may be cast during a two hour window starting just after the meeting adjournment. The link to the on-line ballot is: https://forms.gle/
If you do not have internet access, you may vote by phone.
Please note: As per our bylaws, absentee voting is not permitted. On the ballot, each member will need to attest to have been present at the annual meeting either by Zoom or by phone.
Proposed Meeting Rules
As per our Bylaws, Congregational meetings are to be conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order. We will be conducting the meeting using the Zoom teleconferencing app which adds considerable restraints when trying to conduct an orderly meeting. The first order of business will be to adopt a set of rules to be followed for the remainder of the meeting. Please note that, in particular, all amendments must be sent to the Board by Nov 11. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
I wish to thank all of our members in advance for working with the Board of Trustees to make this Special Meeting a success.
President, Board of Trustees
