Christmas Eve Service FAQ

Christmas Eve FAQ
We hope you plan to come to BUF’s Christmas Eve service, this year on Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 7PM. A few things to note!
  1. Doors to the sanctuary will open at 6:30PM as the choir and candlelighters need to practice beforehand. If you come early, feel free to take a seat in the foyer or downstairs in the Social Hall.
  2. This is a very popular service and we need every seat. Please move into the rows all the way to make room for others.
  3. Carol singing begins at 6:45PM.
  4. We take a special collection each year so please consider bringing cash to put in the baskets during the offertory.
  5. The service starts at 7PM and lasts about an hour and is generally a quiet and reflective service.
  6. Children should sit with their parents in the pews. Very small children (and their parents) may prefer to use the Wiggle Room. Note, however, that the lights in that room will go out during the candlelighting service.
  7. It is quite dark during the candlelighting part of the service, which lasts about 10 minutes.
  8. We use real candles in the service.
  9. There is no social hour after the service.
